Alyssa Balandran

Alyssa graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Psychology and Sports Medicine & Exercise Physiology. As a Division 1 athlete in cross country and track & field, she set the school record in the 800m during the 2023-2024 season and currently competes for the Mexican state of Nuevo León as part of the Excelentes Talentos running club. Passionate about optimizing performance, Alyssa adopts a holistic approach that recognizes athletes as whole individuals, focusing on enhancing their strengths both in and out of their sport. While dedicating time as a volunteer coach for the Rice Women’s track team, she serves as the WPS admin, working towards completing her hours to become a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. Alyssa also works at HITE-EQ, a digital mental performance platform, where she builds meaningul psychoeducation for athletes and coaches of all levels. With her unique blend of athletic and academic experience, Alyssa aims to empower athletes to reach their full potential, fostering growth in all areas of their lives.
